We are committed

At Juniper we are committed to nurturing the spirit of life in each individual we serve so that they may live fully throughout all seasons of life. To us this means understanding an individual, not only their needs but their desires and responding with programs and services which provide for the highest quality of life possible. Our Alive in All Seasons program of activities is designed to foster healthy bodies, enriched minds and fulfilled spirits. These pictures and stories are living proof that we at Juniper are dedicated to walking our talk!

PSU Nursing

Holly Parrish and Jill Arnoso both have mothers who are nurses, and were inspired at a young age to follow in their professional footsteps.  Now as sophomore nursing students at Penn State, they both find themselves at Juniper Village Rehabilitation and Skilled Care at Brookline, where they are working on their first clinical rotation. Parrish and Arnoso came to JVB as part of the “Fundamentals of Nursing” course taught by  Mary Anne Ventura and Cindy Sullivan. This spring semester (January through April) nine groups of student nurses—around 70 total—are participating. Parrish says that rotation is a lot different than she expected, adding that it comes much more naturally than she had anticipated. Arnoso likes that she is learning so many new things, sharing, “this doesn’t even feel like a class!”
